Meet Sage – A Joyful, Playful Shih Tzu with a Heart of Gold Sage is a beautiful, 10-pound solid Shih Tzu boy with a luscious coat and an even lovelier personality. Full of joy and energy, Sage loves to run, play, and explore the world around him. He’s friendly with other dogs and would thrive in a home with at least one playful canine companion—or with someone who works from home and can include him in their day-to-day adventures. This happy little guy has made incredible strides since coming into rescue. He was initially very skittish and struggled with submissive urination, but with patience and routine, he’s now got it 90% under control. A belly band is recommended during the transition into a new home, just to set everyone up for success. He’s doing great with potty training when kept on a schedule. Sage sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, but he’d be overjoyed to share the bed with you if allowed. He’s affectionate, eager to please, and loves being part of the action. With his natural energy and love for toys, he’d likely become a fantastic little fetch player in no time. Sage would make a wonderful addition to many types of homes—whether you're an active individual who wants a pup by your side or a family looking for a playful and loving companion. He’s come such a long way already, and he’s ready to blossom even more with the right people by his side.
