My story

Please welcome Chicago Pizza back to SAAP. She is a tall, lanky 6 month old hound mix. She came from a litter of nine that was dumped on someone’s property and was the last to be adopted. She is a high energy pup and would greatly benefit from basic training for things like sit, stay, leash walking and not jumping on people. For this reason, she may be too much for young/small kids. Hounds can get very distracted by their strong sense of smell but with some hard work and a patient family, I know she can learn to be the best version of herself. She has done well with all the dogs in the foster home (male and female - ranging from 14 pounds to 80 pounds). We have not had any issues meeting people except that she is a bit shy and timid at first. She has been absolutely loving with us and LOVES to cuddle and be held!
