My story

Nitro may have a bold name, but he’s a softie at heart. This tuxedo kitten is as sweet as they come—curious about the world around him, but always happiest when he’s curled up close to someone he loves.  With his silky black-and-white coat and bright eyes, Nitro is a little gentleman in training. He loves soft toys, cozy blankets, and quiet moments where he can snuggle and purr his heart out. Nitro is the kind of kitten who will follow you around just to be near you, always ready to offer a soft meow or gentle nudge for attention. He’s affectionate, easygoing, and sure to grow into a loyal companion. * Nitro's mom is positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), and both he and his brother, Hawk, have also tested positive at this time. However, a positive test in a kitten isn't definitive for about the first 6 months. Often kitties will test positive because they're producing antibodies to their mom's FIV, but then later test negative. Therefore we suggest retesting at 6 months, possibly even sooner. Even if positive, FIV is a very manageable disease in kitties and cats often appear just as healthy as any other cats. The virus is spread via deep bite wounds only, so FIV+ kitties can safely live in a home with other cats as long as there are no aggression/fighting issues between cats. We'd love to tell you more about why you shouldn't be afraid to adopt a kitty with FIV+; just ask us! * Nitro's adoption fee is $175. Your adoption fee includes Spay/neuter, Combo test for FIV/FeLV, all age-appropriate vaccines, Deworming, up to date flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping.
