My story

Bella Mini, the 8lb senior lady dog, is mild mannered and a bit of a wallflower. She enjoys toys, the ones she can fit in her tiny mouth, and snuggling up in super fluffy beds. Bella Mini needs a patient and gentle home with people willing to give her space to allow her to warm up to them at her own pace! Bella Mini allows gentle pets and will take treats gingerly from your hands. She will make a wonderful and loyal companion for one very lucky family! We are not sure about Bella Mini’s previous socialization with children or other dogs. She may do well in a home with older, respectful children willing to respect her boundaries. Bella Mini was introduced to similarly sized dog at the shelter and was open to meeting them but stiff in her body language. If you have another doggy family member, we highly recommend bringing them to meet Bella Mini at the shelter, in a controlled environment, to make sure she is a good fit for your pack! This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 30-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
