My story

My name is Magic and I was found as a stray outside of the shelter, so staff does not know much about my history! When I first arrived I was super scared and had a bad skin infection from fleas. However, I quickly warmed up to staff and just needed a little time to warm up. My skin is also getting much better!My adoption fee has been fully sponsored.Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!INSIGHTS FROM MY CARETAKERS:`Magic is a mid-size cutie who loves to play and really seems to enjoy people attention. She has a shiny black coat, the cutest little ears, and smiles when she is happy. She is goofy, silly, knows the sit command and has lots of energy but can also be perfectly content hanging out in the sun with a favorite toy. She likes to play but is not overly pushy if you need to take a break or do something else. She responds well to firm positive commands and would do well with a family who can provide structure and love. She is treat-motivated and very smart and would be great with an owner who is willing to spend time training her and working with her curious energy. A fenced area to run and play and lots of positive human affection would be a great setup for Magic. She seems nervous/tentative about people touching her head or behind her head or making sudden movements until she earns trust so her new owners would need to show her that people can be kind and loving and patient! She seems curious but not reactive to other dogs when on walks or in the play yard, but slow, careful introductions to other animals and children are always recommended for the safety of all people and animals involved. She is going to be a wonderful addition to someone’s family and deserves a loving home.``Magic went on walks, played catch, and said hi to strangers. She is extremely friendly to people and never barked, even at other dogs. She lives for being outside and chasing a ball - a girl who just wants to have fun. She has puppy-like energy and will bring lots of life to her future home.`
