Phineas

My story

Phineas is a 2-year-old, 63-pound pup with a gentle heart and a shy spirit. When you first meet him, he may retreat, unsure of what to expect — but given a little time and patience, he shows just how sweet and trusting he really is. Phineas walks beautifully on leash and enjoys spending time outside, especially when he gets to sniff and explore at his own pace. Though he keeps to himself around other dogs, he has done okay in their presence and would likely be content as an only dog or with a calm companion. He isn’t immediately treat-motivated in new spaces, but once back in the comfort of his kennel, his tail wags and his appetite returns. Phineas finds security in routine and quiet companionship, and he loves gentle chest pets. This sensitive boy is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace.
