My story

A28003 Scooter is a brown and tan colored, approximately 8-year-old, 20-pound, spayed female, Beagle mix. She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 05-22-2025 due to the fact she was her dad’s dog, and he passed away. Scooter is a friendly, happy and easy to handle girl here at the shelter. Our staff says she is such a happy girl who loves people. Saying she is well mannered, has a great temperament and is a no frills, no maintenance girl. She was easy to leash and happy to go for a walk. Very well behaved during our walks with a cute little trot right next to you. She will need some training as she did not respond to any commands. However, she is not a bad or naughty girl. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter, preferring to be with her person. The previous owner said that she is not house broken and has lived with other dogs but not children or cats. Scooter will be a loyal, loving companion in her new forever home.
