My story

Percival is a sweet, social 1-year-old Labrador Retriever who’s ready to find his people. While the noisy, chaotic shelter environment has been overwhelming for him, Percival’s true personality shines once he`s outside the kennel and in calmer surroundings.This affectionate young pup loves attention—he’ll lean in for pets, roll over for belly rubs, and happily chase after tennis balls. He already knows sit, shake, and down, and walks well on leash (though he might get a little bouncy with excitement). With gentle handling and a few tasty treats, Percival warms up quickly and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts.Percival has also done well with other dogs. In playgroup, he engaged in friendly push-and-pull play and remained calm and tolerant—even when two male dogs became a little too rough. He may benefit from a handler nearby to support him during doggy introductions, but he’s shown great resilience and social awareness.Like many sensitive dogs, Percival thrives best when meeting new people outside of the kennel, where he can relax and show off his sweet, eager-to-please nature.
