Meet Emilio, a five month old German Shepherd mix weighing around 20 pounds.Emilio is a shy, sensitive soul who`s had a rough start and is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Right now, he’s very scared and shut down—but underneath that fear is a dog who just needs time, patience, and a whole lot of TLC. He’s not ready for a busy or noisy home, so we`re looking for a calm, quiet environment with no young kids, where Emilio can feel safe and start to come out of his shell at his own pace. With gentle encouragement and consistent love, we believe Emilio has the potential to blossom into a loyal and loving companion. If you have a soft heart, a peaceful home, and the time to help a sweet dog learn to trust again, Emilio may be the one you`re meant to help heal. He doesn’t need much—just someone willing to go slow and show him that love is real. Please remember that Emilio is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be.This pet is available for adoption on 5/26/2025 at 10:46 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
