Tino

My story

Animal Profile: Tino is an approximately 2 year old, 15 lb male mixed breed who was taken in as a stray, along with a female shepherd, and kenneled with a husky. He does well with other dogs and is social/friendly with people, too. Foster Update: Tino has settled into our home routine and is doing great! He adjusted very well. He is sleeping great in the crate (he goes in there by himself at night). He loves to play with a bunch of soft dog toys playing tug-of-war and fetch. Super cute.  He has been getting lots of walks but we are still working on leash tugging and excitement when he sees other dogs. Tino is doing great with sitting and staying about 6 feet from the front door. We worked on this as a priority since he seemed to want to bolt the first week we had him. Now that he has settled in, he doesn't try to bolt anymore, but he might have impulse control to seek adventure so it's something we are very mindful of. Overall, he is doing great. He is super cute, affectionate, and seems to enjoy being part of a family. He's got lots of energy so he gets extra walks and play time, and a family who can match that energy with another dog or activity would be perfect. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
