Sophia

My story

Sophia was surrendered to us, because her current home didn’t have time to properly care for her. Since having Sophia, she has been checked over by our vet, received vaccines, de-wormer, flea treatment and prevention, h/w prevention, she is now microchipped, she is recovering from spay surgery after her first heat, (By the way, that is not typical for my rescue to wait for first heat, it just happened that way.) Sophia is in a home with other dogs and cats. She is fine with the dogs, unless there is food around. Poor girl was very thin, I could feel all her bones, so I understand why she is a little protective of her bowl. Regarding the cats… if they run, she will chase them. I believe the terrier in her gives her some prey drive. Otherwise, Sophia is very happy girl, she is learning to be calm, and respectful. She will keep her crate clean if you get her right outside in the mornings. She knows sit, and outside, so far. She takes her treats gently and eats all her food. Sophia would be the type of dog that is adventurous! Take her on hikes, take her on safe dog outings… she loves to spend time with her people! She’s a young girl, with a lifetime of love to share.
