My story

Sour Patch is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Scroll through his pictures to see his cute video content! We are thrilled to welcome Sour Patch to Heartland from Chicago Animal Care and Control, where he wound up as a stray in mid-April. He quickly garnered a following there thanks to his silly antics and his dog sociability-- he was a playgroup all star, and is truly a friend to all! Sour Patch is indeed hilarious-- he is just the most fun! He likes to randomly dive bomb the grass, roll around, and hop up as if nothing happened. If you sit cross legged on the floor, he will hop in your lap belly up, like he wants to be held and rocked like a baby! Sour Patch also has a very sweet and gentle side, which we equally adore. He will self-entertain or sit close to you for cuddles. He walks really well on a leash, and is overall a fabulous gentleman. We are so excited to be able to help Sour Patch on his journey to find his forever home. We hope you will come and meet him! Sour Patch’s adoption fee is $300. He is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
