ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Daisy Age: Around 1.5 years old (Born on November 5th 2023) Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo Shiba mix Colour: Brown Weight: 14kg / 31lb   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Daisy — a gentle soul with a big heart and an even bigger story. My siblings and I were just babies when we were brought to the city shelter. Sadly, due to the overcrowded condition, we were placed on the euthanasia list. But just when things looked darkest, some incredibly kind-hearted people saw our little lives mattered and stepped in to rescue us.   Thanks to them, I got my second chance — and now, I’m ready to find my forever family! I’ve got so much love to give and can’t wait to share my snuggles, tail wags, and happy spirit with someone special. My 2 brothers have found their forever home in Canada and USA by countless amount of people’s love and wishes. They have been enjoying their best lives as all dogs deserve!   MY HEALTH - Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) - I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues. - Heartworm test : Negative 2024.July   MY PERSONALITY The first thing people notice about me is how cute I am — I’ve got the softest red-brown fur and big, dark brown eyes that will totally melt your heart. But there’s more to me than just good looks! I have a sweet, gentle personality that shines through the moment you meet me.   I love greeting people with a wagging tail and a curious nose, and I’m friendly with other dogs too. I’m always interested in the world around me — every new smell, sound, and treat is an exciting little adventure. I’m food-motivated, which makes learning new things super fun for me. I’m eager to please, ready to explore, and even more ready to find a loving home to call my own.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS - With People: I’m a gentle, affectionate pup who loves being around people. Whether you’re a friend or someone I’ve just met, I’ll happily greet you with a wagging tail and an open heart. I enjoy attention and pets, and I’m not shy about asking for belly rubs — I’ll even roll over to show you how much I trust you! You can pick me up easily, and I’ll soak up the cuddles.   I haven’t met kids under 13years old yet, but with my sweet and calm nature, I’m confident I’ll do well with thoughtful, respectful interactions. I also have good manners when it comes to food — I don’t guard my meals and am happy to share space with people during mealtime.   - With Dogs:  I get along well with other dogs and love making new friends! I enjoy saying hello and playing together — it’s one of my favorite things to do. The only thing I ask is a little space at mealtime. I can get a bit protective of my food and growl if another dog gets too close while I’m eating, so it’s best to feed me separately to keep things peaceful. With a little structure, I do great in a multi-dog home!   - With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I’m a high-energy girl who loves to run around and get my zoomies out! I need some playtime or a good walk to burn off my energy — once I’ve had my fun, I’m happy to relax and chill at home. A little adventure followed by some cozy downtime is my perfect kind of day.   TRAINING & HABITS I focus really well on my handler, and since I’m super food-motivated, training is actually a lot of fun for me! I’m eager to learn and pick things up quickly. I might pull on the leash when I get excited, but with a little guidance, I’m getting better every day.   I don’t guard my food around people, but I can be a little protective of it around other dogs. Structured mealtimes and positive reinforcement are helping me feel more confident and comfortable sharing my space — I’m a work in progress, but I’m making great strides.   I might bark when I see a stranger at first, but once I know you’re someone I can trust, I warm up quickly and show my affectionate side. I also know how to rest quietly in my kennel, and I’m potty trained both indoors and outdoors. I'm well on my way to being the perfect companion!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: - A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. - A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. - A family that can shower me with love and attention. - Understanding of my strong love for food and a commitment to helping me become more patient through positive reinforcement training - A family who understands I’m still growing out of my puppy phase and willing to provide me with basic obedience training and guide me so I can thrive into a young adult.   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff say I carry many of the classic Shiba traits and am growing into a wonderful young lady. I’m a sweet, energetic dog who’s ready to shine with my forever family. I absolutely love people and get along well with my dog friends. At first, I do best with plenty of structure and patience, giving me the time I need to settle in and really come out of my shell. I’m still learning my basic obedience skills and would thrive with a family who can guide me with kindness and consistency.
