ALL ABOUT ME Name: Laon Age: 4 yrs old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo Corgi Mix Colour: Beige Weight: 17kg / 37 lb MY RESCUE STORY Hi, I’m Laon! I was rescued from a city shelter where I was on the euthanasia list. Shelter life was tough, but I never let it break my spirit. I stayed hopeful, wagged my tail through it all, and showed everyone just how much I love people — even the staff couldn’t help but notice! Thankfully, some kind-hearted people saw the sparkle in my eye and saved me from that harsh shelter life. Now, I’m sweet, friendly, and so ready to find my forever home. MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues. MY PERSONALITY The first thing you’ll notice about me is how much I love people. Whether you’re an old friend or someone brand new, I’ll greet you with a wiggly butt, airplane ears, and tons of happy energy. I’m all about pets, cuddles, and being your shadow. My goofy smile is guaranteed to brighten your day — every single time! MY SOCIAL SKILLS - With People: I absolutely thrive being around people — so much that the volunteers and staff can’t help but spoil me with love and treats. I may have gained a little extra fluff (can you blame me? Treats are hard to resist!), but it just makes me extra cuddly. I trust easily and show it — you can even pick me up and give my belly a rub, whether you’re a stranger or a friend. I haven’t met kids yet, but with gentle, respectful interactions, I’m sure we’ll get along just fine! - With Dogs: I like to say hi to other dogs, but I don’t jump into play right away — I prefer to take a moment to observe my surroundings first. I’m all about reading the vibe! If another dog challenges me, I’m not afraid to stand my ground, so slow and thoughtful introductions work best when meeting for the first time. Overall, I’m happiest hanging out with my favorite humans. - With Cats: When I see cats on my walks, I get a little curious — but I don’t fixate. I usually just take a look, then happily move along with my handler. With proper introductions, I might do just fine in a home with a confident cat. ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES Easy going and balanced. I have a moderate energy level — I love spending time outside, calmly exploring new sights and smells. But once I’ve had my outdoor time, I’m more than happy to settle in, snuggle up, and relax at home. The best of both worlds! TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on a leash and stay close to my handler—though I might get a little excited and pull sometimes. I’m generally quiet and know how to settle calmly in my kennel when it’s time to rest. I’m also fully potty trained, both indoors and outdoors. When I’m in a new environment, I might mark my territory briefly, but I quickly settle as I become more comfortable. Having spent a long time in the shelter, I used to be protective of my favorite treats and toys. The good news is, I’m learning every day to feel safe and to share, and I’m making wonderful progress! MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: - A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. - A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. - A family that can shower me with love and attention. - Understanding of my strong love for food/toys and a commitment to helping me become more patient through positive reinforcement training. - Ideally the only dog— I can get a little jealous when other dogs are receiving attention, so I’d love to be your one and only furry friend. SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet, loving pup who adores people and is ready to shower my forever family with endless cuddles and affection. I’m a big softie at heart, and nothing makes me happier than being near kind humans who give me love and attention. Because I’m working on reaching a healthier weight, I’ll need a special weight management diet to help me feel my best. I’d thrive as the one and only dog in the home — I can get a little nervous around other dogs and I’m still learning how to make new furry friends. But don’t worry, I’m making great progress! With patient, gentle introductions, I even did wonderfully during my photoshoot & video sessions alongside other dogs. I have a little bit of hardened skin behind my ankles from my long time in the shelter, but that’s just a reminder of how far I’ve come. Soon after I find my forever family, I’ll begin a month of special training to help me build confidence and learn how to play nicely with other dogs. I’m still figuring out the whole “being a dog around dogs” thing, but with love, patience, and guidance, I know I’ll blossom into the best companion. For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!
