Meet Jade - the girl who hisses at you because she loves you.This majestic queen has been with us since April, after her owner passed away. And while it took us a bit to understand her..quirks..we've come to appreciate her very specific love language: gentle swats, squeaky hisses, and deep, meaningful eye contact.Jade doesn't meow. She hisses. But like, affectionately. She also swats. But again, lovingly. If you stop petting her before she's ready, she will let you know with a delicate slap to the hand thag means "you are NOT done petting me until I say so."She's not clingy. She just expects loyalty, respect, and head scratches on demand. When she's not demanding attention with a confusing mix of sass and sweetness, she's passed out in a nap so deep you'd think she just ate a large bowl of pasta and breadsticks.As for other cats? Ehhhhhh....Jade has big "not here to make friends" energy. She will coexist with them, but there will be hissing. There may be screams. We do not intervene.She'll need a little time to settle into a new home, but once she does, you'll have a sassy, snuggly girl who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to tell you about it.
