Fishy

My story

Fishy is a sweet older boy that appreciates attention and petting but has been moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He will likely need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to an adult-only home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.A volunteer writes: Like many of us, Fishy's working on his confidence. Stretched out at the front of his condo to survey all of Adoptions, he looks like a kitty model of self-esteem. Except the shelter is new and very different from his life before, and confidence isn't always easy to come by when changes abound. While we don't know too much about Fishy's life before, he was brought to us with another when their person passed away and everything about the way he carries himself tells me he's been a well loved little kitty. Since coming to us, he's been trying to make the most of shelter life by learning about what we have to offer. So far, Fishy's mostly been interested in the treats. A social eater who permits us to pet his adorably fluffy cheeks while he's eating, Fishy's been trying to figure things out the best way he can.
