Stitch! Silly Dude!

My story

Meet our very silly and affectionate boy named Stitch! Stitch came to us after someone claimed they found him wandering in town a few days before contacting us. Stitch is a young guy, probably around 1 year old, and we think he is a Pit Bull/Boxer mix. When Stitch first came to us, he was extremely skinny, as you can see in his photos. He has started gaining weight and he is a very good eater! He can be a little grabby with treats still, but he is fine if we pet his back while he is eating out of his bowl. Stitch is an active guy who just wants attention from people! He is still a bit jumpy, but he is just a cuddle bug who wants to be on your lap. Stitch seems fine with other dogs and he tested fine with cats. He can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
