My story

Meet Mariposa, a sweet and playful girl who’s ready to find her forever family! She was found as a puppy 3 years ago, and took up residence in a car junkyard. She was cared for to the best of the shop owner's abilities, but still ran free through the neighborhood. It is suspected that she was hit by a car at one point as her back leg has an old injury - it does not inhibit her ability to get around or go for walks! Now, she’s looking forward to a new chapter full of LOVE, ATTENTION and FUN! Mariposa can be a little shy when meeting new dogs. She’s great with respectful dogs, especially those who understand her need for space and slow introductions. After proper decompression and once she’s comfortable, her goofy and playful personality shines through! She loves attention and is always up for a short walk, followed by a cozy nap or silly playtime with her dog pals. She loves to snuggle up to either her favorite human or doggie pal! Though she’s crate and potty trained and has a calm side, she can be a bit jumpy at times, so a home with older kids or adults who can advocate for her space and time to adjust would be ideal.
