My story

Brennan is a gentle, affectionate cat who bonds deeply once he feels safe and at ease. His favorite place is curled up on your lap or nestled right next to you, purring contentedly while you pet his fur. He’s the kind of cat who will gently nudge your laptop aside just to claim his rightful place in your lap. When he’s in full affection mode, Brennan is all about cheek-to-cheek rubs and quiet companionship. Brennan enjoys playing with a feather wand, so long as it doesn’t require too much effort. He prefers calm and comfort over activity, and he's most content just being close to you. At night, he’ll often sleep on the bed and stay nearby throughout the day, quietly following you from room to room, keeping tabs on his favorite person. Brennan is also a very cautious cat. Anything unfamiliar, whether it’s a new person, sound, or object, is something he’ll carefully observe from a safe distance before deciding it’s okay. He does best with gentle, understanding people in a quiet home where he can stick to a familiar routine. He’ll need some time and patience to fully settle in, but once he does, he becomes a loyal and loving shadow, always close by. Brennan adores wet food and will be in the bowl the second you start serving it, no need to call him twice! If you’re looking for a devoted, cuddly companion and are willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe, Brennan will reward you with endless affection and quiet love. Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.  Brennan tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (“FIV”) which causes a weakening of a cat’s immune system. Cats with FIV can live a healthy normal life, both in quality and longevity. This cat is at our adult cat adoption lounge located in downtown San Jose.
