This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information.Brady is on the at-risk list due to behavior. He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Due to his stress levels, it is in his best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. He would do best in a home with adopters who are willing to give him plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with helping a fearful cat adjust to strangers. What my friends at ACC say about me:I have lived with cats in my previous home.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.A volunteer writes: Brady really is doing his best. He's mostly keeping to himself, working up the courage to accept treats and scratches, and even seems to react positively to sweet talk and slow blinks. But this young bear cub of a cat is having a hard time at the Care Center, as he was brought to us from a home with several other cats and may not have a lot of experience making human friends. We don't know if he's a naturally shy guy or if he's simply fearful because he's in an unfamiliar environment. We do know that boys like Brady tend to relax and open up once they're in a new home with pet parents who allow them to decompress, feel secure, and blossom. Want to be the earthly angel Brady really needs? Introduce yourself to this wide-eyed muffin today and say the magic words: "You're coming home with me." If you have any questions or would like to adopt Brady, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
