My story

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see a sweet young dog that needs our help. Lily is one of these dogs that deserves, due to her excellent temperament and all the love she'll bring to a family, to have a wonderful home filled with pure love and nurturing. Lily is the kind of dog that once comfortable in her environment snuggles in, loves you up and then puts her head on your shoulder breathing her warm breath. She's so sweet, friendly, and so very loving and irresistible that you can't help falling head over heels in love. Lily is a gorgeous 10 month old, 16 lb (anticipated to be approximately 18 lbs when full grown) Corgi mix, with a bit of Beagle in the mix for extra cuteness. Lily's breed mix was identified by Oklahoma veterinarians. All we know for certain is that this sweet girl is irresistible! This pup is SO sweet and once acclimated to her new life will make a wonderful addition to a dog-loving family. Lily's Arkansas rescuer had the following to brag about our sweet girl: "What else can I say other then this girl is the ultimate love bug! She’s great with other dogs big and small, is learning her leash skills and doing really well, is fun, silly and playful and loves absolutely everyone who is kind to her (belly rubs and yummy treats help). Whoever adopts this amazing pup is very lucky..they're getting a true gem!" Lily is a perfect size to accompany her family just about everywhere a smaller dog is welcome. She will fit right into virtually every situation due to her great temperament and very sweet personality. Our dream for Lily is a forever Colorado home with a family that cherishes her for life. As Lily becomes comfortable in her forever home, she'll blossom and become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier her family is with her behavior, the more Lily will shine with her accomplishments. Farfel's would like to see our wonderful girl in a home that includes her in family time and fun activities (and some lap or couch-time with belly rubs would be absolutely perfect!) as well as taking that extra step to participate in positive reinforcement / force free virtual or in-person obedience classes. These classes successfully teach a smart and cooperative dog like Lily the skills to accompany her family out into the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's Rescue is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person force-free / positive reinforcement trainers in your area. Lily has been fully vetted and is up to date on her vaccinations. This support Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. She has also been spayed to reinforce our commitment to a euthanasia-free future in the canine population. Lily is heartworm positive — but don’t let that scare you off! Sadly, heartworm is common in dogs coming from Oklahoma, where prevention isn’t always accessible. The good news? Lily’s test came back very low positive, which means we caught it early — and treatment will be simple and straightforward. Even better: Farfel’s Farm & Rescue will cover the full cost of Lily’s heartworm treatment through one of our trusted veterinary partners. She’s young, resilient, and already thriving in every other way — and once she’s treated, she’ll be in the clear to enjoy a long, healthy life ahead. This sweet girl deserves her forever home, and we’re here to support her (and you!) every step of the way. Lily will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 6/11/2025. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and very loving best friend and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-res. cue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Lily please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lily, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
