My story

He arrived at the care centers as a stray with little known history. During his intake exam he was very loose, wiggly, and seeking attention from handlers. He has remained social with handlers throughout his stay. However, on leash his reactivity has been escalating in intensity. He has been observed to hard bark, loudly vocalize, and pull towards dogs with a tense body while on leash. He is not easily redirectable and at one point had to be held back by his harness. Medically, he apparently has dermatitis and otitis externa. What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!I am excitable and energetic! I will need positive outlets for my energy!A volunteer writes: As soon as I met Laphi, I knew for the rest of our time together I would be calling him Laphi my lovebug. As soon as Laphi saw my leash, he showed off his most adorable happy wiggles. Off we went on our first walk together as if we had known each other forever. As we walked, we were both feeling great strolling down the street. I can't stop smiling watching Laphi's adorable (what I have dubbed) his sniff-and-stride. Laphi loved my treats and gave me the best Laphi lean-in as he enjoyed my pets. We had so much fun together, I did not want our time together to end. I could easily picture snuggling up on the couch with lovebug Laphi and cuddling all night!   Primary Color: Black Weight: 51.5 Age: 3yrs 2mths 1wks
