Clyde

My story

A volunteer writes:Clyde is finally opening up...He is still quite timid but I can at last see what his former owners said about him: a friendly, gentle and sweet cat with all but slow to show what a good heart he has inside. I can say that I found Clyde....True, he likes to stay in his litter box that is his comfort place but he welcomes my petting now by leaning into pets, head bunting my hand and purring(see photos and video). Clyde is truly a beautiful cat with oversized cheeks and a soft tuxedo coat. He suffers from a bilateral entropion, an uncomfortable eyelid condition that will need to be attended to by an outside veterinarian. Clyde lived with many other cats, all surrendered into our care because of landlord issues. Like his housemates, he was born, raised at home and his owners knew well every single one of their pets. Beautiful and sweet Clyde so deserves a wonderful and caring home. Ask to meet him when you visit the Manhattan Care Center.What my friends at ACC say about me:I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!My purr motor is always running!
