Iris is a delicate, nervous beauty who’s learning to trust one step at a time. She may not jump right into your arms, but with patience and gentle persistence, she’ll come around and show you her quiet affection. Her tail might stay tucked at first, but when she spots a squirrel or gets to explore outside, her true playful, joyful spirit shines through. She’s a bit shy at first with strangers, but with time, she’s warming up to new people. Iris loves to watch the world from a safe spot close to you—whether that’s sitting under a chair or leaning in for a gentle touch. Crowded places can be scary, but she bravely explores with the support of her favorite humans. Iris needs a calm, patient home that understands her fears and celebrates her small victories.
