Starla is a 3-year-old breeder surrenderfrom North Carolina. Like most breeder dogs, Starla is somewhat skittish anddashes away when her foster mom tries to pick her up. However, she has learned touse a ramp to get up/down off the couch and will independently sit beside herfoster mom and foster siblings. She knows her name and wags her tail whenspoken to. Starla is vocal when left alone at night but will settle down after a littlebit; she just wants to be with her person. .Starla plays well with toys and her foster siblings – she is mighty cute runningzoomies in the back yard with her foster sisters. A home with another young dog isrecommended so that Starla can continue to learn to play. Big dogs and youngchildren are not recommended as Starla has never been exposed to large animalsand the fast movements, yelling/screaming of young children would likely scareher.During her short life as a breeder dog living in a crate, this gorgeous precious girldeserves a loving home where she will be cherished and spoiled.Must haves for beautiful little Starla include:ï‚· A fenced yardï‚· Another young, small, well-socialized dog she can learn from and play withï‚· An owner who is home more often than notï‚· No apartments, high-rises, or condos as Starla is a vocal dachshund andneeds a fenced yard.If you meet our requirements, then please apply. Even though Starla was a breederdog, she is friendly. Don’t let this one slip through your fingers!============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ==============AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5,or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime.
