My story

Meet Pippin! Pippin is one of the small dogs that came with us from a hoarding situation. He is one of the friendlier kiddos, but he is still unsure new people in the home, and he often runs away and then comes right back up for affection, We have only had him for two weeks, but he has come quite far and we know that he will just go farther in his forever home. He wants attention, then runs from it, unsure of what he wants. He is starting with some leash training and is having a little bit of trouble, figuring out the concept but so far he’s doing OK with it. Because he does tend to run when he is nervous, we are requiring a securely fenced in yard for him. He is not going to be a candidate for an apartment. Both because he should have a fenced in yard and because he has another Chihuahua tendency where he barks. Quite a bit! At new things and when he wants attention. We think that a quiet home where he can relax is going to be best for him. Right now, his home is very active and very bustling with the other foster dogs and with friends and family coming and going. He is crate trained, but is working on house training. He weighs about 10 pounds and he is a chihuahua mix. He is fantastic with other dogs. And he has done well with the older kids that he has been around we just have not had him around toddlers. He has not been around cats to our knowledge.
