My story

Do you like big, broad, handsome boys? Then feast your eyes on this gentle giant. Mongo is a 1-year old, 92-pound Rottweiler who adores humans, other dogs, playtime, and long walks. Sound like fun? Oh, it is! Ridiculously affectionate, Mongo gets very attached and usually prefers to be near someone. A huge cuddle bug, Mongo loves being pet, massaged, scratched, and kissed. Fully housebroken and not at all destructive when left alone, Mongo neither wants nor needs a crate. When it’s time to chill, he’ll just relax in his dog bed. Good boy, Mongo! Terrific on a leash, Mongo is very well-behaved during walks and loves getting his steps in. Mongo would make an ideal exercise buddy, and he’s a lot cheaper than a trainer! ;-). His favorite toy is a tennis ball, but he likes just about anything you offer him to play with. He’s got a boatload of energy, but after adequate stimulation, he settles down nicely. True to his breed, Mongo is extremely intelligent and responds to a host of commands, including sit, stay, paw, and lie down. He’s also amazing in a car. Mongo tends to jump when he’s excited and/or happy, but he is a good listener, very treat-motivated, and he understands the meaning of the word no.
