My story

Hi! I'm Petra (or Sophie). My foster mommy is getting to know me more but for now I can tell you that I've had a rough life, I wasn't loved my first 8 years of life, I was used instead :( and now I'm starting to know what living is. In only 2 weeks my foster mom has fallen in love with me, so much that she wishes she could keep me. She cuddles with me every night and takes me out every day even though I get a little scared... she says I'm making progress and she knows I'll live a very nice loving life. She also has a 14.5 year old dog, I try to socialize with her but she still doesn't get used to me sadly but I know how to give her the space she wants and I respect it. I can get along with your dog (if you have one) too!At first when I came I was peeing in the house and I know my foster mom was a little stressed but in just a few days I started doing all my necessities outside...  still have little accidents here and there but not everyday. I'm a quick learner, I promise. I've been making my foster mom very proud and I know I could make you proud also. I'll also make sure you're safe when you're showering... very important! Personality & Characteristics:My foster dog is good with: dogs (still hasn't interacted with cats or kids)My foster dog is: low shed3 Keywords for your pup: sweet, curiousEnergy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 4 ?Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: quiet!Walking Manners: still working on thatAppetite: eats twice a day!Favorite Things: food and cuddles :)Commands/Tricks: nope ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea. ##2420622##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Petra, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
