My story

Sultan is a ~5.5-month-old Shepherd mix with soulful eyes and a heart that’s just beginning to open up to the beauty of life off the streets. Sultan has spent most of his youth living on the streets of a reservation with his mom and 3 siblings. He is shy and just learning that the world can be kind and that from now on, he will know only compassion and joy. Already he has adjusted to having enough food every day and that there is plenty of love and tender touches. Sultan was not abused, he just had a hard beginning to his life. Now thriving in a loving foster home, Sultan warmed up quickly to his foster family and has found comfort in the companionship of the resident dogs. With them by his side, he’s beginning to experience the joys of being a puppy—playing, goofing around, and just being carefree. Sultan is still shy in new situations, but his progress has been nothing short of heartwarming. Each day, he grows a little more confident, revealing a sweet, playful side that’s simply irresistible. Sultan would do best in a calm home with experienced dog owners or a patient family willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. In return, you’ll get the incredible gift of watching him blossom into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. With love and gentle guidance, Sultan is ready to leave his past behind and begin his new life with his forever home.  He is 5.5 months of age and around 25 lbs.
