My story

Meet Rebar! Born around April 10, 2025, Rebar is a black and white domestic shorthair kitten and one-third of the "Construction Litter," alongside his siblings Beam and Spackle. Rebar is all heart-affectionate, trusting, playful, and a total lap lover who wants nothing more than to be close to his people. This social butterfly is always the first to greet his humans, chase a toy, or pounce into play with his siblings. He especially loves zooming through the kitten tunnel, batting toy mice, and snuggling into a warm lap or a kitten pile for a good nap. Rebar is litter box trained and has been around children of various ages, doing especially well with those who are gentle and respectful. He's grown up with his two littermates and several adult cats and does a great job reading social cues, backing off when needed and waiting his turn to join the fun. While he hasn't met dogs yet, he'd likely adapt well with time. Rebar would thrive in a home where someone is around at least part of the day and where he has a furry companion-ideally his beloved brother Beam, but another friendly animal would work too. He's very social and craves attention, sometimes forgetting what "personal space" means, but he settles beautifully with companionship and reassurance. Rebar could do well with a first-time adopter if adopted with a sibling, or in a more experienced home where he'll continue getting the gentle guidance he needs to grow into a confident, well-adjusted cat.
