My story

Meet Mookey, a stunning 12-year-old long-haired black beauty with a heart full of sweetness. Adopted from Stray Cat Blues in 2018, she spent years as a cherished companion to her adopter until her person sadly passed away. Now in a loving foster home, Mookey is looking for her next forever family. Mookey is a cheerful, playful, and adorably chubby little girl. She is the most playful of the senior cats her foster has cared for. She is not yet a lap cat, but loves to settle at, or on, my feet or snuggle up on the couch. She absolutely adores being brushed or combed, rewarding the attention with her gentle purrs — and this is a must for keeping her luxurious coat healthy and mat-free. Her adopter should be experienced with, or committed to, the grooming needs of a long-haired cat. This darling girl is very sweet, but, like most cats, is likely to hide for the first few days in a new place. You will need to have patience with her until she feels safe. She will not greet you when you first meet her: she will probably hide. In three days, she was fine with her foster - purring and wanting to be pet. Mookey has one blind eye, but this does not bother her or slow her down. If you’re looking for a loving, low-key companion with a touch of playful charm, Mookey may be the perfect match. She’s ready to bring warmth and comfort to a quiet, patient home.
