My story

Melodias A17411257 lb. neutered male, approx 4 years old -Anybody looking to get into agility with their dog? Frisbee competitions or dock diving? Melodias IS your boy!-He’s a dog who needs a job! He’s not a couch potato or a walk twice a day kinda dude! He needs stimulation and to be kept busy!-He’s a total sport dog!-He found a tennis ball walking out and he carried it with him the whole way 🎾-He’s obsessed with balls….and catching them….and fetching them-He would be amazing at catching a frisbee if I could actually throw one decently 😩-Retrieves and drops (although that took a few times asking)-Some interest in treats, sits and takes them nicely-He enjoys pets occasionally when he slows down-He would benefit from a big yard and a tall fence!-Wants to run vs walk on leash-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. •The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
