Nigel Cheeks

My story

Nigel Cheeks approaches everything in life – pets, food and play – with great enthusiasm. At the mere idea of a pet, he begins to purr and plops on his side to let you know he’s ready for some nuzzles. He gallops over when he hears a cat food can open and hasn’t met a toy that he doesn’t like – wand toys and catnip kickers are his favorite. NC is always waiting at the door excited to welcome you home. He is a wonderful sleep companion, sleeping near his people, but not on top of them.  This sweet and adorable young guy is looking for a forever home where he will get lots of attention and playtime. He’s still working on learning that feet and hands are not toys – given an appropriate toy, he is easily redirected. This makes his ideal home one that will provide a lot of playtime and consistent redirection. He’ll likely do best in a home without young children. Given his playful nature, we suspect that he will be happiest with a feline friend, but he has not been in the company of other cats in a structured environment. Currently in foster as a single cat, he’ll be moving into the Cafe in the coming weeks to see if he enjoys cat friends to frolic and play with – we’re excited to see what he thinks!  June 6, 2025, 6:25 pm
