My name is Cinnamon, but everyone calls me Miss Piggy because I’m a sassy little sweetheart with a huge heart and an even bigger personality! I’ve been through a lot in my short life—some of it not so kind—but I’ve never stopped believing in love, and now I’m making up for lost time. I’m a petite girl with a love for life. I adore playing outside, doing zoomies with my dog friends, and chewing on bully bones. But my absolute favorite thing? LOVE. Giving it. Getting it. Soaking it up. If you’re sitting down, I’ll find my way to your lap, lay my head down, and remind you how good it feels to be loved. I’ve been great with young kids—even toddlers just starting to walk. I’m very gentle and sweet. With men, I can be a little unsure at first (my past wasn’t the easiest), but give me a moment to feel safe and I’ll be your most loyal companion. I’m crate and potty trained, and I know “sit” and “come.” I’m working on “stay,” “lay down,” and “shake”—and I’m very treat-motivated, so I’m a quick learner! I walk wonderfully on a leash and have awesome recall. My foster family has even practiced letting me walk off-leash (though that’s not recommended in most places), so I’m extra good about sticking close and coming when I’m called. Mealtime is a bit of a race for me (I eat too fast!), so I use a special slow feeder and eat separately from the other pups to make sure I don’t sneak their snacks. My dream home? One that’s overflowing with love. I need patient, kind people who understand that while I’ve been through a lot, I’m still soft, sweet, and full of hope. I’d thrive with other dogs to play with, or on my own with someone who wants a snuggly best friend. I even love wearing cute little bows—how’s that for charming? If you’re looking for a playful, loving girl to fill your home and heart, I’m Miss Piggy—and I’m ready to love you forever. 💕 This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for any reason. If the dog or puppy is not yet fully vetted, we can only consider applications from adopters within an hour's drive or 40 miles of Lemont, IL, due to required vet visits at our partner veterinarians. For fully vetted dogs or puppies, we welcome applications from out-of-state or beyond the 40-mile radius. Please only apply if you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within five days of approval. Breed and Age Information: Unless the puppy was born in our care, we cannot guarantee the breed or age. Breed and age estimates are based on veterinary advice, shelter records, physical appearance, and information provided by previous owners. The adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue) Microchip Rabies vaccine DHPP vaccine Bordetella vaccine 4DX test (Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichia, Lyme Disease) General wellness care, including deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention Your adoption fee also helps support medical care for other rescue animals, including heartworm treatments, surgeries, and emergency care. Spay/Neuter Policy: We spay/neuter dogs at 16 weeks or older, at the discretion of the rescue and in consultation with our partner veterinarians. While some veterinarians recommend delaying the procedure based on a breeds projected size, as a rescue, our primary goal is to prevent unwanted litters. Spaying and neutering also provide significant health benefits, including cancer prevention and reducing behavioral issues. The American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association support pediatric spay/neuter for cats and dogs as early as 16 weeks.
