My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Cat Holding 3 (Cat Alley):1 Meet Quesadilla: This lovable little guy is a certified snuggle bug who adores humans, gets along wonderfully with other cats, and is great with kids. Though he walks with a charmingly wobbly gait, Quesadilla doesn’t let that slow him down one bit—he’ll still beeline it to the door to greet you when you come home or gently tap your ankle to ask for some cuddle time.   As soon as you scoop him up, Quesadilla will nuzzle right into your face and purr affectionately. A true velcro kitty, he loves being carried in a sling, curling up in your lap while you work or binge your favorite show, or simply hanging out wherever the action is. He’s a master biscuit-maker, a dedicated cardboard-scratching pad enthusiast, and always happy to accept treats of any kind.  Quesadilla would thrive in a home with another affectionate cat buddy to lounge and play with. While he’s gentle and sweet with children, he’d do best in a home without toddlers or others who might accidentally knock over his adorable, slightly wobbly self. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and slightly goofy sidekick, Quesadilla is ready to fill your life (and your lap) with joy!   Medical summary:  Quesadilla has neurologic abnormalities and has difficulty with balance, stability, motion, and spatial orientation. This means he has trouble walking and moving and can stumble or fall easily. We do not know the cause of this condition.  Despite the symptoms, he is active, eats well, plays and seeks affection, uses a low-sided litterbox, and has a good quality of life. He needs accommodations and environmental modifications for his special needs. He must be kept in a safe area with no ledges or stairs and cannot go outdoors.   June 7, 2025, 9:13 am
