My story

Hi, I'm Duke! I'm a 3-year-old, 14 lb Poodle. My name may be Duke, but I just want to be the king of your heart. General Behavior: Duke is adventurous, athletic, smart, goofy, and playful. Above all, he is a big cuddler and will love to follow you around like a little shadow. Likes & Dislikes: Duke loves to play with other dogs. He also loves to chew, so lots of toys are a must. Training: Duke is a true gentleman! He’s got the basics of house training down, but he still needs some work. Other than that, he walks well on a leash, loves car rides, and can sleep in a dog bed or the people bed at night. Medical: Duke is a healthy boy!  Like any other dog, he will just need monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Other Animals: Duke loves playing with other dogs and is good with dogs of all sizes. He hasn't been observed around cats yet, but his foster thinks he'd be OK with them. Children: Duke is a pretty sturdy pup, so he would probably do well with most children. He has yet to be observed around children, though.  Home:  Duke doesn't need a castle: he'd be at home in an apartment, condo or single family home, wherever there are people who love him. Grooming: As a Poodle, Duke will need regular brushing, plus professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Overall: Duke will make a wonderful companion for an active family who can give him all the snuggles and love he deserves. Could Duke be the best friend you've been looking for?
