My story

I’m Shaboozey and here’s my story. About three years ago I was happy and loved and had a roof over my head. Then one day I’m out on the street. My person was no where to be found. I had no food, no love, no roof. A nice neighbor fed me but she wouldn’t let me in even though I tried and tried and tried. I was beat up all the time by something called feral cats which is how I am told I got FIV. My friends at Kitten Rescue say its no big deal . You can look it up or ask my very nice foster mom. Then one day I was chased by a coyote and the neighbor chased it away but she couldn’t stand it anymore (because apparently I am a lover not a fighter!) and called Kitten Rescue to help me. One of their fosters only takes in seniors so they called her. I was named Buddy for awhile but my foster mom loves the name Shaboozey and even though I can’t sing or play an instrument like the CW star, she changed my name. I make a different kind of music. My purr is super soothing and I am a little verbal when I want to say “hi” or want attention. I give love and want love so much I let my foster mom carry me around and I hug her extra tight when she tries to put me down as I love being held, cuddled and just being near her. She says I follow her around like a dog. One time she took me to the vets for a check up (I am very well thank you for asking) but I was afraid she was going to leave me there. When we got home I refused to let her put me down. I was so happy to be back! Even though she loves, loves, loves me she is having me tell you all about me because she says I deserve to have a home where I don’t have to share my persons time so much. She has a lot of other cats and dogs so its hard for her but she gives me as much love as possible. The dogs terrify me so she keeps me away from them and the mean cats. I like the calm, chill cats and we get along. Well, that’s about all I can say for myself. I hope there is someone just like my foster mom but who wants an only cat, or has just one, or a couple of other cats. Please contact the foster at laurihartman@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Shaboozey, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
