My story

EmoryOn March 1, `25, a thoughtful lady found me and brought me to the HSHC. The staff`s examination revealed that I was pregnant and needed to be moved to a foster home where I could deliver. I am 4-years-old and cannot recall how often I have delivered kittens. As a stray cat, no one seemed to want to have me spayed. My foster mom (FM) greeted me with plenty of TLC. She realized that I was feeling enormous and smelled like gasoline, grease, and grime, the three odors of a garage. But I quickly bonded with FM and let her give me a well-deserved bath. FM recognized that I craved love and nurturing. I didn`t immediately trust the men in the home, including the 16-pound Maine Coon, neutered male cat! Perhaps I had been impregnated against my will. He repeatedly tried to befriend me, but my 9 pounds of indignant female cat chased him whenever he approached me. I don`t know if my rejection of the male species was because my hormones were screaming, but the irony of it was I gave birth on March 28 to all male kittens! On the other hand, I adored my FM and was always with her or as close as possible. We were BFFs. FM reported that I was a devoted and attentive momma cat who consistently watched over and cared for my babies. She thinks I might be happiest as an only pet or with only females. I am thoroughly skilled at using the litterbox and enthusiastically ensure that everything is covered with litter. A high-sided litterbox might help me stay neat. I weaned my kittens on May 28 and have remained at the HSHC ever since. My FM told the interviewer lady (IL) that `I am precious, delightful, and just practically perfect.` The IL agrees that I am a beautiful, friendly cat who deserves to be adopted and loved for the rest of my life. 6-6-25
