My story

Sumo might look like a distinguished older gentleman, but he’s actually just four years old—a young cat with an old soul. We don’t know much about his past, but it's clear that life before the shelter wasn’t easy. Still, Sumo has nothing but love to give. He’s a gentle, mellow cat who thrives on quiet affection. He loves being brushed and petted—partly because he doesn’t always have the energy to groom himself, but also because he truly enjoys the connection. In fact, he sometimes lets his fellow cattery cats help him tidy up his fur! Sumo is a champion napper, a quiet cuddle buddy, and the perfect fit for a low-energy home. He’d be happy living with other calm cats or even laid-back dogs. Fast movements and loud noises aren’t really his thing—he prefers slow introductions, soft voices, and baby talk to help him feel safe. If you’re looking for a gentle companion to share your space, Sumo might just be your new best friend. Come spend a few minutes with him—you’ll be glad you did.
