Super adorable puppy Violet is a 12 weeks old shepsky puppy, who is quite active, and has puppy energy. She is very trainable, and can be very obedient, as she is extremely bright and intelligent, and wants to please her human. An active home will be a great fit for her. She loves dogs, cats and kids. Violet and her 7 siblings were born on the streets of Houston to a wonderful mom named Blondie. Unfortunately, their sweet mama Blondie got very sick with heartworm disease, that caused pregnancy complications. We tried to save her, but despite treatment, Blondie passed away at age 2. She was a great mom, who nursed her pups despite getting exhausted each time. We had to wean the babies at 5 weeks and she would sit in front of the playpen watching the kiddos play. The babies still keep waiting for their mom to show up and take care of them. It is heartbreaking. We have attached a picture of our girl Blondie so you can see how beautiful their mother was. Violet and her siblings are very smart, perhaps because they were partially raised on the streets by a super smart mommy. While we are heartbroken for Blondie, we wish to honor her life by finding the best homes for her babies, whom she loved very much. Currently in a very loving foster home, Violet is now 3 months and weighs 24 lb. She will become a large breed pup. While 5 of the siblings have found their perfect match, Violet, Cam and Abel are now ready for their forever home. Violet can be an only child, or have siblings. She will definitely benefit from going to a daycare and having a stay at home or work from home parent. She is good with dogs, cats, kids, people, everyone. She is very sweet but active puppy, who is highly intelligent and velcro pup. Violet was born March 31 and has her initial shots, and is microchipped and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventative. She is following no paws on ground until he gets all her shots, and uses puppy pads. As with all our pups and kitties, Violet will get fixed before she goes to his forever home. She is currently being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. Canadian adopters will have to pick up puppies and kitties from the nearest USA city and accompany them into the country per the country's protocol. Violet's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, must be adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Violet, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
