My story

Meet Arlo 🐾 Arlo has come a long way since joining our program. Born and raised on a property where human interaction was rare, Arlo missed out on the love and care most dogs are lucky to know. When we first rescued him, he was scared but never aggressive—just cautious and unsure. He watched us with curious eyes, wanting to trust but not quite sure how. Thanks to a wonderful foster home, Arlo is starting to figure things out. With two confident dog friends to guide him, he’s learning by example and picking up on what life in a home is all about. His foster mom says he’s making steady progress—he’s incredibly food-motivated and has started to associate a reaching hand with good things. While Arlo will likely always be a bit reserved, each day brings out more of his personality. His willingness to learn, adapt, and try is inspiring—and it’s proof that he’s ready to move forward into the next chapter of his life. Arlo would thrive in a calm, patient home with a fenced yard and at least one confident dog to help show him the ropes. He’s not looking for perfection—just someone willing to give him the chance he never had.
