My story

I may have had a rough start, but you’d never guess it by the way I wag my tail! I was rescued just in time from a city shelter where I was at risk of euthanasia. Now I’m healthy, happy, and patiently waiting for a forever family to call my own. I love people—all people! Whether you’re a stranger, a child, or a grown-up, I’ll greet you with tail wags and affection like we’ve been best friends forever. I’m friendly, social, and have no fear around adult men either. I also get along really well with other dogs! I enjoy playing and making new friends. I do like to keep the peace, though, so if another dog plays a little too rough, I might let out a soft growl to calm things down. One thing to remember: I’m not a fan of being surprised from behind, like being picked up suddenly—it makes me a bit uncomfortable, so gentle interactions are best for me. I have great leash manners and walk calmly without pulling. Loud noises, flapping signs, or traffic sounds don’t bother me at all. If I see a cat or a bird during a walk, I might watch with interest, but I stay calm and won’t try to chase them. I’m comfortable wearing a leash and harness, and I’m used to doing my business outside. I rarely bark, sleep peacefully on my own, and I don’t get car sick—so road trips are no problem! I don’t know too many commands yet, but I’m a quick learner and will happily follow your lead if you teach me gently. I eat a bit slowly, but I’m not picky and have no known allergies. So far, I haven’t shown any signs of separation anxiety, and I adjust well to daily life and new routines. My foster says I’m even prettier in person—I just might steal your heart with my sweet eyes and calm smile. I’m affectionate, gentle, and love being close to my humans. Whether I’m the only dog in the house or part of a pack, I’ll fit right in. I just want to be loved, included, and part of your world.
