My story

Meet Guillermo! Guillermo is a 5-month-old Papillon and Chihuahua mix weighing about 15 pounds available for adoption in Texas. He's a playful little guy with a big personality and a love for wrestling—especially with our resident dog. He’s full of energy and curiosity, and nothing makes him happier than a good round of zoomies or a spirited match of play. When Guillermo first arrived, he was very feral and unsure of people, touch, and the comforts of indoor life. But with time, patience, and a routine, he’s made incredible progress. Just yesterday, for the first time, he settled down without needing constant wrestling. Usually one of the dogs has to be crated so the other can get a break, so this was a big step forward. Guillermo is crate trained and doing great with potty training. He hasn’t had an accident since his second day here. He also knows “outside” and “inside,” and he's starting to understand that life as a companion animal is a good one. Guillermo will do best in a home with another playful dog and people who understand that building trust takes time. He’s not just adorable—he’s a little survivor learning how to be a pet, and he’s going to make someone very happy. Are you ready to help Guillermo write his next chapter?
