My story

Dory is a lovable Labrador Retriever mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of affection. Weighing in at 13.3 lbs., and born around March 11th, she’s working on her house and crate training and already shows great promise—she keeps her crate clean and even barks to let you know when it’s time to go outside! She’s learning to feel more comfortable with the door closed but happily hangs out inside when it’s open. Dory adores everyone she meets, especially dogs and kids. In her foster home, the kids take turns having her sleep in their beds, and she always snuggles right up next to them—she’s a true cuddle bug at heart. Smart and eager to please, Dory has already mastered “sit” and knows how to fetch. She loves toys, bones, and a good round of playtime, but her foster mom says she’s calmer than most puppies her age, with a gentle demeanor and sweet bursts of puppy energy. Whether she’s playing dress-up, snuggling with a napping friend (human or canine!), or just following you around the house, Dory brings warmth, loyalty, and joy everywhere she goes. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
