My story

Akela and her 6 siblings were rescued on January 4 of this year when a brave soul crawled up under an abandoned house and brought the tiny two-week old babies to safety. Once in the home of the rescuer, these pups have been well cared for along with their Mother, Raina, who is also up for adoption.Mom appears to be young yellow lab mix who is extremely docile and well behaved. Raina weighs about 40 pounds. We do not know who daddy was but possibly a black lab as most of the pups are black and white, however, we do have one who is brindle and another one who has a brindle face and legs. :) Whatever the mix, they are very nice-looking kids!Akela has your classic black and white uniform! She's well marked and that little streak of white showing on her nose is actually a beam of sunlight coming through the fence. So her face is solid black and she's got white on her chest and feet and legs. She's just as sweet as sugar!Akela currently weighs just under 40 pounds and we anticipate her adult weight being around 50 pounds. This girl has had all of her puppy shots, is on heartworm, flea and tick preventative and has been wormed. She is scheduled to be spayed, microchipped and get her rabies shot in a few days.
