My story

Sweet little Meredith is a young Hound puppy who’s already made quite the impression! She was transferred to us at the start of June from another rescue organization. While she’s been spending time in one of our loving foster homes, she’s been healing up like a champ after her spay surgery and a successful repair of an umbilical hernia. Now she’s healthy and happy! As a Hound, Meredith comes with some classic and lovable traits: * Playful and energetic – She’s always up for a game, a sniff-filled walk, or a new backyard adventure. * Loyal and affectionate – Hounds tend to bond closely with their people and are known for their loving nature. * Family-friendly – Most Hounds do beautifully in family settings, especially when kids are involved (just be ready for those puppy zoomies!). But don’t forget—Meredith is still very much a typical puppy: * She’s curious, occasionally clumsy, full of energy, and still learning the ropes of being a well-mannered pup. * She’ll need patience, consistency and positive training to help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Meredith is looking for someone who: * Understands the joy (and chaos!) of puppyhood * Has the time and heart to train, guide and love her * Wants a loyal sidekick for life’s everyday adventures If you’re ready for muddy paws, tail wags and a whole lot of love, Meredith is ready to make her way into your home and heart. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs 6 months and older if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
