Meet Otter! Otter is a smart, high-energy pup who’s curious, water-loving, and full of potential. True to his name, this playful little guy adores water and happily jumps into puddles or splashes around when you're watering the plants. He’s not a couch potato – Otter thrives on activity and mental stimulation, including his newfound love of fetch! He’s ready to grow into the best adventure partner you could ask for! He’s still learning the ropes: Otter is not fully house-trained yet but is making progress with a consistent routine. Crate training is underway – he’ll go in for a treat and settles in calmly when left alone. Otter is friendly with other dogs (especially after some initial barky greetings!) and loves roughhousing with the other foster puppy. He lives with cats, too – although he sometimes chases and barks, with slow introductions and consistent training, he could happily share a home with feline friends.Otter hasn't met kids yet, but with supervision, he’d likely do well – he’s respectful, eager to learn, and full of love. He would do best in a home where someone is around often (especially during his puppy phase), and where he has space to play, learn, and explore. A home with another playful pup would be a bonus! If you are interested in Otter, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Otter, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
