My story

Fanny Faye A17533555 lb. spayed female, approx 3 years old -Can be slightly timid with new things and meeting new people-She cautiously explored the photo room. Then she noticed I had treats and she got super happy and wiggly.-She’s food motivated, sits and takes them nicely. She will not eat anything when she’s nervous though.-I sat down on the floor and she came right over for pets-She really enjoys pets and she gives lots of little gentle kisses-She’s very affectionate-Once she got even more comfortable, she started doing play bows and little zoomies. Then she started playing with a stuffy.-She definitely needs time to warm up but is a really good girl!-She walks great on a leash-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
