My story

Meet Jeff!Jeff is a spunky, playful 6 month old puppy looking for his forever pack!Jeff was abandoned in the backyard of a home in Dallas and was saved by the community who came together to get him into a foster home with Saving Hope!He is so full of life and wants to explore! He is always ready for the next adventure whether that’s going to the dog park again or heading out on a hike. He is leash trained, but is still working on not pulling when he gets excited and is ready to roam!He loves attention and wants cuddles all night, but can struggle to settle down for a movie night. He would do best in an active home with potentially another higher energy dog who he can play with and help burn off some of that puppy excitement. However, the dog will need to be confident and able to correct. Jeff is still learning how to properly play with more timid dogs since he did not grow up with siblings, but he is responding well to positive interruption/correction from both the foster and other dogs and learning fast! That being said, Jeff needs a home with patience and consistency to help him continue to master these new skills and to grow his confidence, since he is still just a puppy!Jeff is very friendly and always ready to meet new people and sit on a patio with you! He’s a puppy, so bring snuggle mat or frozen kong to help stimulate him to keep him from wanting to wonder and explore.Jeff is crate trained and does well during the day while his foster is at work. He can sleep in the crate, but prefers to cuddle with his person at night.Jeff’s favorite things are playing fetch and getting belly rubs! He is extremely food motivated and could easily learn anything with some patience and a good snack! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jeff, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
