We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have.Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Looking for a co-pilot with a heart of gold? Milo is a sweet 1-year-old brown lab mix with a gentle soul. Though he can be a little shy at first, once he feels safe, he's ready to navigate life's adventures by your side, showering you with loving nudges and quiet devotion. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality | Milo is sweet, a little shy, and a total love with other dogs. He is happiest with pals, and greatly enjoys spending time playing and laying!Story | Milo was found abandoned and scared behind a gas station in San Antonio. At the time, the finder felt like he had been given drugs, and it took a few days for him to recover. It has been a rough start and rightfully so, Milo is a bit more timid because of it! Other Dogs | Milo LOVES other dogs - he absolutely thrives with them, and would be happiest with a doggy sibling! Cats | Milo has been cat tested and passed with flying colors! He's been living with a cat for the past two months. Children | Milo hasn't been around littles yet but is fine with older chldren. He may need time to warm up to little humans. He doesn't love fast movements and is a little scared. With patience, treats, and lots of love, he could do well with kiddos. Training | Milo is house trained and does great with basic commands and waiting his turn for a treat! He is crate trained, but is not destructive when left out to free roam. He rides great in the car and is ready to be the copilot on your next road trip! :)Leash | Milo does not like the leash yet. He is pretty fearful and does tend to shut down when asked to walk. It's a work in progress! Activity Level | Moderate. Health Notes | Milo is up to date on vaccines and neutered! Thank you! | Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process.Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.June 28, 2025, 2:36 am
